Impromptu Software has been designed as a teaching tool to help you interrogate and develop your own musical intuitions. It is intended to be used in conjunction with the text Developing Musical Intuitions , and a music audio CD. Text and software are totally integrated with one another. Impromptu is part of the MIT course 'Developing Musical Structures', which is available through the MIT OpenCourseWare program.
