Impromptu 2.2 Installation Instructions
Impromptu is a Java application compatible with Sun's JDK 1.4 and above. Impromptu has been tested on Macintosh OS X (Jaguar 10.2.1) as well as on Windows with Sun's J2SE 1.4.2_02 and J2SE 1.5.
- Check to see if you already have Java installed.
- Create a folder in your computer called Impromptu.
- Download the Impromptu.zip file to this folder.
- Unzip the Impromptu.zip file to this folder.
- In Macintosh OS X, unzipping may happen automatically, you may have to move the unzipped files here.
Your folders should look similar to this:
- Now open the folder called 'app' in your Impromptu folder.
- Double click on Impromptu.jar to start the application.
- Enjoy using Impromptu. Impromptu automatically sets up some user tunes folders and Help files.
- After you have run Impromptu, your folders should look similar to this:
- You can save your tunes to the folder named ImpromptuTunes in the Impromptu folder. This folder is created automatically by the Impromptu application.
